Leadership & family

Second-generation owned and led. The family is still the business.

Hastings Marine Construction is led by President & Chief Executive Luke Hastings, President since 2020. Founder Bart Hastings remains involved, and the family still runs the office and supports the projects.

Luke Hastings

President & Chief Executive

Luke spent his weekends and summers learning the business, starting as a general laborer and working his way up to project lead before he graduated high school. He became President in 2020 and leads Hastings Marine Construction today as President & Chief Executive — holding to the quality and craftsmanship standards the company was built on while it works across residential, commercial, municipal and infrastructure markets. He is an avid supporter of local youth organizations.

Bart Hastings

Founder

Bart founded Hastings Marine Construction in 1980 after eight years as a Heavy-Weather Boat Coxswain in the United States Coast Guard, and he remains involved in the company today. An active outdoorsman, he supports the environment and works to promote wildlife habitat across the peninsula. His story is on Our History.

Debby Hastings

Office Administration

Debby handles office administration. The company’s first ‘employee,’ she grew from organizer, scheduler and bookkeeper into the role she holds today. She has also been a registered nurse for over 40 years and is an avid supporter of animal rescues and charities.

Ben Hastings

Project Management

Ben supports project management as needed. Born and raised in Seaford, he has a natural gift for heavy equipment operating and has helped push the company to adopt new techniques and technology. He is a lifetime member of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Company, a certified diver and a dedicated family man.
