Bart K. Hastings
Bart was born and raised in Sussex County Delaware. After graduating Seaford Senior High School, Bart joined the United States Coast Guard where he served as a Heavy-Weather Boat Coxswain for 8 years. After being honorably discharged, Bart returned to Seaford Delaware and founded Hastings Marine Construction. Bart remains hands-on with the construction of piers, docks, and bulkheads, with no future plans of slowing down. His dedication to expert craftsmanship and superior quality are exemplified by every project he works on. An active outdoorsman, Bart is a supporter of the environment and works to promote wildlife habitat across the peninsula.
Luke Hastings
Growing up, Luke spent his weekends and summers learning the marine construction business. Starting out as a general laborer, Luke worked his way up to a project lead before graduating high school. Luke attended Delaware Tech where he honed his skills in business management and became CEO of Hastings Marine Construction in 2020. His commitment to the exceptional quality and craftsmanship standards that Bart established remains Luke’s highest priority. Luke maintains a strong relationship with the community and is an avid supporter of local youth organizations.
Ben Hastings
Born and raised in Seaford Delaware, Ben has shared his father’s lifelong passion for marine construction. Having a natural gift for heavy equipment operating, Ben has been instrumental in pushing Hastings Marine Construction to adapt new techniques and technology. Ben continues to focus his efforts on the construction side of the business as a hands-on construction manager. A dedicated volunteer fireman, Ben is a lifetime member of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Company, a certified diver, and a dedicated family man.
Debby Hastings
Debby remains instrumental in the continued success of Hastings Marine Construction, just as much as she was instrumental in its founding. As the first ‘employee’ of the company in the early days, Debby has grown in her support and role in the company, from being the organizer, schedulers, and bookkeeper, to her current role as office administrator. In addition to her role at Hastings Marine Construction, Debby has been a RN for over 40 years and is an avid supporter of animal rescues and charities.
